AKQA – Trustpower onboarding journey design

About This Project

My job description was designing an onboarding journey, which was required when signing up for one or more of Trustpower’s range of products.

Once a user selects a product, they are then directed through a product fulfilment journey, consisting of a questionnaire and form fields to fill out. Once the user has signed up, they are then directed to an account setup process, which they can complete straight away, or choose to finish at a later date. The account set up journey starts off with a “what happens next process”, outlining all the steps required to activate their account. Once activated the user can then access an account overview within the website or through a downloadable Trustpower app, which they are encouraged to do so throughout the activation journey. Users can then track their installation schedule and when they will receive their promotional special offer, alongside all the other useful features such as view and pay bills, data usage if applicable, as well as fault and outage alerts.

Project responsibilities:

User flows and information analysis
Loose illustrations were created to map out the user journey, content and layout. These were studied and provided the basis for the next step of lo-fi wireframe designs.

Wireframing
Lo-fi Wireframes were built and set to establish the layout, question flow, functionality and user journeys. Responsive patterns were developed once this was all worked out. These wireframes were presented to internal stakeholders and then to the client via video conferencing.
