Chorus website and app design

About This Project

A 3 month contract as a UX designer for Waxeye. The project was working on new add on (Broadband checker) to the existing Chorus business website, as well a new application that service providers (e.g. Vodafone, Spark etc) could log onto and report or find faults within the broadband system and order appropriate action to resolve the issue. This process was previously done using a multitude of products and provided an average user experience. This new product brief was to incorporate the useful functionality of the old system and put it into one portal. The work process was simplified down and made for a more effective and time efficient user experience..

Communication tools used:
• Invision

Design programs used:
• Sketch and Adobe creative suite

Project responsibilities:
For the Broadband checker, my project responsibilities were analysing client workflow charts and spreadsheets to find the most effective user journey pathway solution. I started with low-fi wireframes to design the user experience. Once this process was approved, I then moved onto more highly finished wireframes produced in Sketch to hand over to the UI designer.
The second project I worked on was the new application for the Chorus fault management portal. My project responsibilities were analysing client spreadsheets and attending workshops to better understand the products needs, requirements and workflows. From these we designed low-fi wireframes to demonstrate the user journey and pathways. These would be presented to the client and iterations made based on their feedback. At this stage the design process is still ongoing. Please see the wireframes displayed above to give you an a visual idea of the product.
